This scholarships programme allows Masters, Ph.D., Research level programme(s) in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Fishery, Geoinformatics, Information technology, Japan-related Humanities, Japan-related Social Science, Mathematical Sciences,Japanese language, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physics taught at Japan Universities . Eligibility Criteria for the candidates:

1. For Research Student / Master’s Degree
The Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field with minimum 65% marks. Candidates should obtain mark sheet and degree toward or before 31st March 2020 for April 2020 batch and for the batch 30th September 2020 toward October 2020.
2. For Ph.D. Degree Scholarships programme
In the Master’s degree the related field with minimum 65% marks. The Cnadidates having practical research/teaching/work experience. and following obtaining the designated qualification on or before 31st March 2020 for the batch April 2020 and 30th September 2020 for the batch October 2020.
3. For Research Student/Master’s degree in the Japanese Language
a) Students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree course in the Japanese Language from a supported university.
b) The candidates who have completed the Bachelor’s degree course in either any subject from a recognized university and earned N2 Certificate of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) attended by the Japan Foundation.
4. For a Ph.D. degree in Japanese Language
The students who have completed a Master degree course in the Japanese Language from a recognized registered university.
Completed application form for the specifying subject Research Student and register name as the field of study-name.docx (e.g. physics-amit.docx) should be posted to the Embassy through email as an attachment, by 13th May 2019.
